The Yare houseboat has an enviable setting, sitting completely on its own, on a southern stretch of riverbank close to the Butt and Oyster public house in Pin Mill, Ipswich, Suffolk. It is situated along a footpath just ten minutes walk from Pin Mill with its pub, charming cottages and facilities. 

This historic houseboat was built in 1871 by Orvis and Fuller and was one of a fleet of Gipping barges carrying supplies up and down the river. She has been completely renovated in 2010, and is now available to hire for both short breaks and holidays.

The boat is static and can only be reached on foot. Car parking is available nearby.
